Advocate of the Year Award

The Sister Rose Marie Nigro Advocate of the Year award was created to honor Sister Rose’s legacy of unwavering advocacy in our community.

The purpose of this award is to acknowledge people in our community whose efforts have made a positive difference in the lives of victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse or other crimes and recognize them as an ‘everyday hero’.  The recipient will be recognized during our virtual fundraiser on Saturday, March 26 at 10am.

2022 Advocate of the year

Tammy Graham

"Tammy has not only taught me how to advocate for others, but has shown me how to do it with care and concern using an honest and tactful approach.   She comes up with out of the box ideas to help survivors overcome their hurdles.   She treats all of the clients that she serves equally, is excellent with boundaries, and goes out of her way to walk a person through their whole process.   I'm so proud of her for getting a recent promotion, she TRULY deserves it and will work hard to be great at it!   She has never judged me or said anything negative and builds me up when I feel down or insecure.   I've never laughed so much as I do when I work alongside her.  Tammy is easy to work with and gives great guidance.  She's caring, light hearted, very intelligent, funny, and would not only give the shirt off her back to anyone who needs it, but would give them her whole darn wardrobe! She's excellent with clients, they absolutely love her straightforward approach! Tammy is more than capable of all the duties given to her and she has nothing but the best intentions for all clients and coworkers."
